Questions about this size

What size safety cover fits a 15 x 30 ft pool?

A 17 x 32 ft cover. A safety cover is cut to the pool plus about 2 ft so the fabric reaches the deck on every side, and the anchors go through that overhang.

Which step version do I order?

Match the step on the pool. This size is made with a center step, a left step, a right step, or no step at all. The stock panel is 8 ft wide and 4 ft back at the water line, so measure yours: a larger step needs a custom cover.

How much weight does a cover this size have to hold?

485 lb. ASTM F1346 sets that for any pool more than 8 ft wide and applies it as 210 lb, 225 lb and 50 lb weights, each over one square foot and all within a 3 ft radius.

What holds the cover down?

Brass anchors set into the deck, one for each strap on a 5 x 5 ft grid. They tamp flush into concrete or paver decking and wind up with a hex key, so they sit level with the deck once the cover is off.

Do I need a pump on a 15 x 30 ft cover?

No. All eight covers at this size are self draining mesh, so rain goes through into the pool. That also means the water level climbs over the winter, and it should stay inside the maximum the manufacturer states, commonly no more than about 18 in below the top of the pool.
