This King99 panel is cut for a 15 x 30 ft rectangular inground pool with the step at the left end. The fabric measures 17 x 32 ft, and that extra foot in each direction is the overlap that reaches the deck once the straps are tensioned. The step panel itself is 8 ft across and 4 ft back at the water line, so take both of those measurements on your own step before ordering.

Under ASTM F1346 a safety cover has to pass a static load test, 485 lb on a cover on a pool more than 8 ft wide, put on as 210, 225 and 50 lb over one square foot each within a 3 ft radius. A winter cover is an other cover under the same standard and is not a barrier at all, which is why section 8.12 requires the label to state the classification. Keep the water no more than about 18 in below the top of the pool, because that water is what supports the cover under snow.
