Product details

A 1.5 in. by 50 ft backwash hose in PVC. It connects the pool filter to the waste line, so the dirty water that comes off a backwash goes somewhere well away from the pool and the equipment pad.

Built for the job

Backwashing pushes water through at pressure, and a thin hose balloons or splits under it. This one is made from PVC chosen to hold that pressure, and it is UV resistant so a season of sitting out in the sun does not leave it brittle and cracked.

Fifty feet of reach

The length is what makes it useful. Fifty feet gets the discharge past the deck and the plants and out to wherever the waste water is supposed to go, without moving the hose halfway through the cycle.

Regular backwashing is how a sand or DE filter keeps working, so this hose earns its place in the routine rather than sitting in a shed.

What is it for?
