Product details
This is the AquaStar 32CDFL102, a 32" black channel drain supplied as an anti entrapment suction outlet cover and frame with a PVC three port sump. The channel format runs the suction outlet as a long slot rather than a round drain, which spreads the draw over a much larger opening.
Construction
The cover and frame are manufactured from UV resistant engineered polymers. Disposable dog bone supports ship with the drain to retain its shape through the phases of construction, and they are removed once the work around the drain is finished.
Replacement schedule
Suction outlet covers are not a fit and forget item. This one is replaced every five years. Note the date it went in somewhere you will find it again, because the cover is the piece of the system that has to be right and it is the piece nobody looks at.
