Product details
The Paramount MDX-R3 is a VGB compliant debris drain in concrete gray, supplied without a sump. It is built for concrete, vinyl and fiberglass pools and does two jobs at once: it meets the anti-entrapment standard and it moves debris out of the pool.
Layers of protection
The MDX-R3 is designed to meet ASME A112.19.8-2007 and ASME A112.19.8-2009B, and it is tested and listed by IAPMO, which earns it the swimming pool, spa and hot tub code shield. It is rated against body entrapment, hair entrapment, evisceration, finger and toe entrapment and limb entrapment. If the drain does become covered, the SDX activates to prevent excessive suction, so protection does not depend on the cover alone. Adding an MVFUSE between the drain and the pump gives a third point of suction relief.
