The AquaCal TropiCal T70 is a full inverter pool heat pump rated at 68,000 BTU that both heats and cools. Instead of running flat out and cycling off, the inverter drive varies the compressor and fan speed to match what the pool needs, so the unit spends most of its time at a low, quiet setting while holding your chosen temperature.

Why inverter matters

A single speed heat pump has two states, full power and off. The TropiCal ramps up to bring a cold pool to temperature and then throttles back to maintain it. That steady, low output uses less electricity than repeated full power cycles and keeps noise on the pad to a minimum, which matters when the equipment sits near a patio or a neighbour.

Heat in spring, cool in summer

The T70 is a heat and cool unit. In the shoulder seasons it extends your swimming into cooler months; in the hottest part of the year it can run in reverse and take the edge off water that has become too warm to be refreshing.

Installation

It runs on single phase 208-230V, 60 Hz power. Have an electrician size the circuit to the nameplate. The unit ships by freight.
