Product details

The Raypak Crosswind 65-I is a 65,000 BTU inverter heat pump that heats and cools pool and spa water. Instead of running flat out and cycling off, the inverter adjusts the compressor speed to match the demand, which is what makes the Crosswind both quieter and cheaper to run than a fixed speed heat pump.

Built around titanium

The heat exchanger is a spiral titanium coil, the material of choice for pool and spa water because it shrugs off chlorine and salt. Digital controls set and hold the water temperature.

Fits where others do not

The cabinet is compact, which simplifies placement on a crowded equipment pad. It runs on 208/230V, 60Hz. This is the 65-I-R, part number 017741, and it ships by freight.

Does it cool as well as heat?
Yes. The 65-I is a heat and cool model, so it can bring the water temperature down in hot weather as well as heat it.
What voltage does it need?
208/230V, 60Hz.
What does the inverter do for me?
A conventional heat pump runs at full speed and cycles off when it reaches temperature. The Crosswind inverter varies the compressor speed to match the demand, so it runs longer at a lower output, uses less energy and makes less noise.
Can it be used on a spa?
Yes. Raypak rates the Crosswind for pool and spa use.
