⌄The Raypak Crosswind 50-I-R is a 50,000 BTUH inverter heat pump that both heats and cools, sized for spas and smaller pools. It runs on 208/230V, 60Hz, and uses a spiral titanium heat exchanger with digital controls.
Inverter operation
Instead of switching fully on and off, the inverter adjusts the output to hold your set temperature. That is where the efficiency comes from, and it is also why the Crosswind is so quiet. Raypak calls it whisper quiet, and in practice you stop noticing it is there.
Heat and cool
Warm the water on cool mornings and in the shoulder seasons, then reverse it to take the edge off a spa or pool that has gone too warm in high summer. The compact cabinet keeps installation simple. Part number 017740.
