The Madimack InverELITE is an inverter driven heat and cool pump for swimming pools, rated at 84,000 BTU on 230V single phase 60Hz power. It is listed under part number INVELITE084 and also under the model code IEV2084.

Inverter efficiency

The COP range runs from 15.0 down to 6.3. At low demand the compressor turns slowly and moves a great deal of heat for very little electricity; as the load rises it steps up. An electronic expansion valve manages refrigerant flow across that range, and a twisted titanium heat exchanger gives the water side more surface area to work with.

Heating and cooling in one unit

Because the InverELITE reverses, the same equipment that extends the swim season in spring and fall will pull heat out of the water in the height of summer. It is rated to keep operating down to 14 degrees F, and reverse cycle defrosting watches for frost on the coil and switches modes without intervention.

Living with it

A twin rotary compressor and the backward airflow casing, which draws air from both sides and exhausts it to the rear, keep the unit quiet enough to sit near a deck. Soft start brings the compressor up from 0 amps rather than slamming the supply. Wi-Fi and the smart app are standard, and the weatherproof casing is built to resist UV and corrosion outdoors.
