The Moov MI500 is a full inverter, variable speed pool heat pump rated at 50,000 BTU for pools up to 14,000 gallons, running on single phase 208-230V 60Hz power.
What full inverter means
A conventional heat pump has one speed. It runs at full output until the water reaches temperature, shuts down, and starts again from cold when the temperature drifts. The MI500 varies its compressor from 20 percent to 100 percent, so once the pool is up to temperature it holds it there by ticking over instead of cycling hard. Moov rates the approach at up to 50 percent lower energy use and an average of seven times quieter than a single speed unit.
The hardware
A twin rotary DC inverter compressor drives it, and the water side runs through a titanium heat exchanger, which is the material that survives long term contact with treated pool water. The unit soft starts, so it comes on without the hard inrush a single speed compressor pulls.
Control
A Wi-Fi module is built in, so the heat pump can be reached from a phone without adding a separate receiver.

The MI500 ships by freight. Plan for a curbside delivery and have a licensed electrician handle the 208-230V connection.
