Product details

The Hayward HeatPro is the heat pump platform Hayward built for smaller pools. Instead of burning fuel, it pulls warmth out of the surrounding air and moves it into the water, which is why its energy requirement sits below what a natural gas or propane heater needs to hold the same temperature.

What it is made of

The heat exchanger is titanium, so the surface in permanent contact with treated pool water resists the corrosion that ends the life of lesser units. Air is moved by a low noise fan in a horizontal discharge cabinet, and the refrigerant side runs on an efficient rotary compressor. The combination is what lets the unit sit near a deck without dominating it.

Running it

A digital control panel on the cabinet shows the current water temperature and holds the settings, so day to day operation is a couple of button presses. Hayward states the platform reaches ideal water temperatures even under harsh conditions, and the unit is AHRI certified with independent lab testing behind the rating.
