Product details

The Jandy SP3P is a 2 inch, 3-port spool piece and cleaning kit for AquaPure. It is the dummy cell that goes in the pipe when the salt cell comes out.

Why you want one on the shelf

An AquaPure cell has to leave the plumbing more often than people expect: at start up before the water chemistry is settled, at winter shutdown, and every time the cell is pulled for a scale clean. Without a spool piece you either leave the system down or improvise a coupling. The spool piece drops straight into the gap so the pump, filter and heater can run as normal with no cell in circuit.

What is in the kit

The kit is supplied with the spool piece, an O-ring, universal union nuts, a tailpiece, a 2 inch x 2-1/2 inch plug, and caps for cleaning. The caps are the part that gets overlooked: they let you fill the cell with cleaning solution and cap both ends so it soaks properly instead of draining out.

What is a spool piece for?

It fills the gap the cell leaves in the pipe, so the pump can run normally while the cell is out. That is what you want at start up, over the winter, and while the cell is being cleaned.

Will it fit my AquaPure?

This is the 2 inch, 3-port version, so it matches 2 inch 3-port AquaPure cell plumbing.

What comes in the kit?
