The AquaComfort 900-202W is a control board kit for the Vintage Signature heat pump. It is the manufacturer part, supplied as a kit rather than as a loose board.

What the board does

Everything the heat pump decides runs through the control board: reading the water and coil sensors, calling the compressor and fan, holding the setpoint, and reporting faults. When it fails, the unit does not degrade gracefully. It usually just stops, or it starts behaving in ways the sensors cannot explain.
