The Pentair 472734 is the genuine replacement control board assembly for ThermalFlo and UltraTemp heat pumps. It comes as the complete assembly, board, bezel and label together, so it drops into the control housing without reusing the old trim.

What the board does

The control board is the heart of the heat pump. It reads the water and coil thermistors and the pressure switches, drives the display and keypad and decides when the compressor and fan should run. When it fails the symptoms are usually a blank or frozen display, or a unit that will not respond to its sensors.

Match 472734 to the parts list for your heat pump model. Because boards are not returnable once installed, rule out the cheaper culprits first: confirm supply voltage at the unit, and test the high pressure switch and thermistors, which fail more often than the board.
