Product details

The Pentair XFM1BK is the replacement transformer assembly for the ComPool LX20, LX30, LX36 and LX80 pool and spa control systems. It is the genuine Pentair part.

When you need one

A dead ComPool panel with a live breaker points straight at the power supply side. No display, no relay clicks, nothing at all from a system that was working. The transformer is the piece that turns incoming power into what the board and the relays run on, and when it goes, everything downstream of it goes quiet at once.

Fitting it

The transformer sits inside the control enclosure, which is fed with line voltage. Shut the supply breaker off before the cover comes off, photograph the wiring before anything is disconnected, and hand the job to a qualified electrician or service technician if working inside a live panel is not familiar ground. ComPool systems are long out of production, so a transformer is one of the repairs that keeps a working panel in service instead of forcing a full automation replacement.
