This is the genuine Polaris 9-100-3104 feed hose with floats, a white 10 ft section used on the Polaris 380, 280 and 180 pressure side cleaners.
What the feed hose does
A pressure side cleaner is driven by water pushed to it through the feed hose. The hose is not a passive tether, it is the supply line, so a split, a kink or a section that has gone stiff shows up straight away as a cleaner that wanders, slows down or stops climbing walls. The floats are there to hold the run up in the water so it does not drag along the floor, tangle on itself or mark the finish.
Replacing one section
Feed hose runs are built from sections, which means damage in one place does not have to mean a whole new run. Look for the section that has hardened, split at a swivel or lost its floats, and change that one.
