Product details

The Jandy R0746000 is the lateral and standpipe assembly for the Jandy SFTM24-2.0, the 24 in. SFTM top mount sand filter. It is the genuine Jandy part.

What it does

The standpipe carries water down through the center of the tank and the laterals at its base collect filtered water while holding the sand back. When a lateral cracks, sand slips past it and shows up at the return jets. Replacing the assembly puts the underdrain back in one piece.

Before you order

Check that your filter label reads SFTM24-2.0. Plan on emptying the sand to reach the laterals, and most owners fit fresh media at the same time.

Which filter does this fit?
The Jandy 24 in. SFTM top mount sand filter, model SFTM24-2.0.
Does it come with the laterals?
Yes. It is the standpipe and laterals as one assembly.
How do I know the laterals have failed?
Sand returning to the pool through the return jets is the usual sign. A cracked lateral lets media past the underdrain and into the plumbing.
Do I have to remove the sand to replace it?
Yes. The laterals sit at the bottom of the tank under the sand bed, so the media has to come out. Most people replace the sand at the same time.
