Quick overview
- L-pin, not the J-pin Hammerhead uses both. This is the L shaped pin, and the J-pin is supplied with the stainless mount clamp instead.
- Cable included The pin comes with its retaining cable, which is what stops it going to the bottom of the pool.
- Mount assembly part It serves the mount assembly on the vacuum head.
- Hammerhead HH1175G The factory part number to order against.
- The part that gets lost Pins walk off jobs and cables fray, and a missing one takes the head out of service.
- Small part, whole machine Without the pin the mount will not stay locked, so it is worth keeping a spare on the truck.

Product details
The Hammerhead HH1175G is the L-pin with cable used on the mount assembly of Hammerhead vacuum heads. It is supplied as the pin and its retaining cable together.
L-pin or J-pin
Hammerhead uses two pin shapes and they are not interchangeable. This is the L-pin. The J-pin is supplied with the stainless steel mount clamp assembly, so look at the pin that came out before you order the one going in.
Why the cable matters
The cable tethers the pin to the head. It is the only reason a pin pulled at the side of a pool ends up back in your hand instead of on the bottom. When the cable frays through, the pin is on borrowed time.
