What it replaces
The plug on the end of the floating cable, where the cable meets the power supply. It is the piece that takes the abuse, because most people unplug a robot by pulling on the cord.
The symptoms
A cleaner that will not start, or one that runs then dies part way through a cycle. Before condemning the power supply, look at the plug: pitted or green pins, a bent contact or a cracked housing all cause the same intermittent fault.
Scope
