Product details

The Polaris R0638100 is the genuine Type D motor block for the Polaris 9550 Sport robotic pool cleaner. It is the OEM part, made to the same specification as the unit the cleaner left the factory with.

What it does

The motor block is the powered core of the robot. It drives the cleaner around the pool and generates the suction that pulls sand, leaves and fine debris off the floor, walls and waterline into the filter canister. When the block wears out or fails, the cleaner stops moving, loses its pull, or will not start.

Replacing it

The R0638100 is designed to take the place of the original block in the existing cleaner body, so the repair returns the 9550 Sport to full performance without buying a new robot. Before ordering, rule out a clogged filter canister or a damaged floating cable, which cause similar symptoms.
