The Polaris R0564700 is the control unit kit for the 9450 Sport robotic pool cleaner. It is the genuine Polaris part, the same unit the cleaner shipped with.

What the control unit does

The control unit is the box that sits on the deck. It takes power from the outlet, conditions it for the cleaner, and runs the cleaning cycle through the floating cable. Nothing on the cleaner moves without it.

When to replace it

A cleaner that gives no sign of life, with a good outlet and an undamaged cable, usually points back to the control unit. Replacing it restores power and control in one part.
