The Polaris R0517400 is the genuine brush roller kit for the Polaris 9300 and 9300xi Sport robotic pool cleaners, supplied as a set of two.

What worn rollers look like

The rollers are what put the cleaner in contact with the pool. They provide the grip that lets the unit climb walls and the scrubbing that lifts film off the floor. As the surface wears smooth, the cleaner starts slipping on the climb, loses its footing partway up, and finishes a full cycle having left a haze behind. Owners often suspect the motor or the filter first, when the rollers are the part that has quietly worn out.

What is in the kit and what is not

Both rollers come in the kit, which is how they should be replaced since they wear at the same rate. The white bushings are not included. Have a look at them while the rollers are off, because a worn bushing will chew through a new roller faster than it should.
