Product details

The Polaris R0916500 is the Track V2 for the Atlas and Atlas XT suction side pool cleaners. It is the genuine Polaris replacement, the same track the cleaner ships with from the factory.

Why the track matters

The Atlas drives itself around the pool on tracks rather than wheels. That is what lets it hold the floor, climb the walls and stay on a coverage pattern. As the tread wears down the cleaner loses grip, slides back off the walls and starts covering the same stretch of floor over and over while the rest of the pool goes untouched.

Fitting

The cleaner uses a track on each side and they wear at much the same rate, so it is worth looking at both when one has gone. A stretched or hardened track also drags on the drive components behind it, which is a good reason not to run one to destruction.
