Product details

This is the genuine Aqua-Flo 91040820-000 wet end for 1.5 horsepower Flo-Master FMCP pumps. It is the center discharge version, built for a 48Y frame motor with 1-1/2 inch suction and discharge ports.

What a wet end covers

The wet end is everything the water touches: the strainer pot, the volute, the impeller, the diffuser and the seal plate. Buying it as an assembly is the usual answer when the housing itself has cracked or worn past sealing, because it saves stripping the old pump down to individual pieces and it comes matched and true out of the box.

Before you order

Check three things on your existing pump: that it is rated 1.5 horsepower, that the motor nameplate reads 48Y frame, and that the discharge leaves the top center of the volute rather than the side. This wet end is designed for the Flo-Master FMCP and may fit other Aqua-Flo models, so match the part number if your pump carries a different name.

Does this include the motor?
No. A wet end is the volute, impeller, diffuser, seal plate and strainer pot. You reuse the existing 48Y frame motor.
Will it fit anything other than an FMCP?
It is built for the Aqua-Flo Flo-Master FMCP and may suit other Aqua-Flo models. Compare your pump against the part number before ordering if yours is not an FMCP.
What frame motor do I need?
48Y. Check the frame stamped on the motor nameplate before you buy, since a 56 frame motor will not bolt to this wet end.
When is a new wet end better than parts?
When the volute or seal plate is cracked, or when the housing has been rebuilt so often that the threads and o-ring grooves no longer seal. A single leak is usually cheaper to fix with a seal kit.
