Product details

The CMP 25357-300-000 is a replacement seal plate for Pentair Whisper-Flo pumps. It is an aftermarket part built by CMP rather than the original manufacturer plate.

What the seal plate does

It is the barrier between pump water and the motor. The motor bolts to one face, the volute seals against the other, and the plate holds the stationary half of the shaft seal square to the shaft. If it is not flat and its seal bore is not clean, the shaft seal cannot do its job.

When it needs replacing

Cracks, warping and a scored or chewed seal bore. The tell is a pump that keeps weeping at the motor after a new shaft seal has been fitted, which means the seal was never the problem. Fit a new shaft seal along with the plate, since a seal that has been removed once will not reseat properly.
