Product details

SuperPro 25305-128-000 is a replacement impeller for the 1 HP WhisperFlo pump, sold as the aftermarket equivalent of impeller 073128.

Match the horsepower

Impellers are specific to the horsepower of the pump. The vane shape and passage size are what set the flow curve, so an impeller from a different size WhisperFlo will not give the performance the pump was designed for, even where it physically threads on. Read the number off the old impeller, or off the pump label, before ordering.

The symptoms it fixes

An impeller that is worn or partly blocked produces weak returns and a low pressure reading at the filter, which is the reverse of what a dirty filter does. Debris packed into the vanes gives the same result and is worth checking before ordering anything. A rattling wet end usually means the vanes are damaged.

Plan the whole job

Reaching the impeller means opening the seal plate, and the mechanical shaft seal should not be reused once it is disturbed. Look at the diffuser while the pump is apart: it wears alongside the impeller, and replacing one without the other returns only part of the lost flow.

Can I use it on a different horsepower WhisperFlo?
No. Impellers are matched to the horsepower of the motor. Fitting the wrong one leaves you with the wrong flow and can load the motor incorrectly. Match the impeller number to the pump.
