This is the SuperPro 25305-130-000 impeller for the 2 HP WhisperFlo pump, supplied as the replacement for factory part 073130.
What the impeller does
Everything the pump achieves comes from the impeller. It spins on the motor shaft and throws water outward, and the shape and clearance of its vanes set how much flow the system gets. Two things end an impeller. The first is debris: hair, grit and small stones work their way into the vane passages and choke them, and the pump moves a fraction of what it should. The second is wear, where the vane edges thin out and round over so the impeller can no longer grip the water. In both cases the motor sounds perfectly normal while the flow drops away.
Match the horsepower
WhisperFlo impellers are specific to the horsepower of the pump. This one is the 2 HP part. Fitting an impeller from a larger pump to try to gain flow loads the motor beyond what it was wound for, and shortens its life.
Do the seal at the same time
The impeller has to come off the shaft to reach the mechanical shaft seal, so this is the natural moment to replace it. Getting a new seal and the seal plate gaskets in with the same order saves opening the wet end twice.
