Pentair Challenger Pump Strainer Pot

The Pentair 355300 is the strainer pot, the front housing, for Challenger high head and high flow pool pumps. It is the genuine Pentair part.

Why replace it

The strainer pot takes the brunt of sun, chemicals and the occasional dropped lid. A crack or a warped sealing surface lets air into the suction side, which shows up as bubbles in the pot, a pump that loses prime or a noisy motor. Replacing the pot puts a fresh sealing surface under the lid and o-ring.

What is included

The housing only. The strainer lid and the 5-3/4 in. ID lid o-ring are separate parts, and it is worth ordering a new o-ring with the pot if the old one has flattened.
