Pentair Challenger Seal Plate, High Pressure

The Pentair 355004Z is the black seal plate for the Challenger High Flow and High Pressure pumps and for the WaterFall specialty pool and spa pumps, models AFP-75 and AFP-120. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What the seal plate does

The seal plate sits between the motor and the wet end. It carries the stationary half of the shaft seal, locates the diffuser, and closes the back of the pump housing. A plate that has cracked, warped or had its seal seat scored will leak no matter how many shaft seals you put in it.

Before you order

Confirm your pump is a Challenger High Flow or High Pressure, or a WaterFall AFP-75 or AFP-120. Have a new shaft seal on hand, and replace the housing o-rings while the pump is apart; the Challenger rebuild kit covers them.
