Product details

The Pentair 355468Z is the genuine front housing for PacFab Challenger High Flow and High Pressure pool pumps, in black with a slip suction connection. If the housing on your Challenger is cracked, warped from heat or leaking at the clamp, this is the factory replacement.

How it fits

The housing slides over the diffuser and impeller and is held to the seal plate by the large band clamp. Its other end connects to the strainer pot. The discharge port accepts a standard 2 in. threaded male PVC fitting, so the existing plumbing connection is reused.

Before you order

Confirm your pump is a Challenger High Flow or High Pressure model and that it uses the slip suction housing. While the pump is apart it is worth checking the housing o-ring and the shaft seal, which are separate parts.

One end sits over the diffuser and impeller and clamps to the seal plate with the large band clamp. The other end connects to the strainer pot.
What size is the discharge port?
It accepts a standard 2 in. threaded male PVC fitting.
Should I replace anything else while the pump is apart?
With the housing off you have access to the diffuser, impeller and shaft seal. Inspecting the seal and the housing o-ring at the same time avoids a second teardown.
