Product details

The Pentair 355330 is the strainer pot flange o-ring, also carried as O-301. It measures 2-3/8 inches inside diameter with a 1/8 inch cross section.

Where it goes

Pentair uses this seal across a number of products: Tagelus sand filters, the Challenger High Flow and High Pressure pumps, the WaterFall pump and Admiral skimmers. On a pump it sits at the strainer pot flange, which is the joint the suction side depends on to stay airtight.

The symptom it fixes

A pump that will not hold prime, or that weeps at the housing, very often has a flattened, cracked or hardened flange o-ring. It is the cheapest thing on the pad to replace and the first one worth ruling out. Give the new seal a coat of pool rated o-ring lubricant before the housing goes back together.

My pump keeps losing prime, is this the part?
It is the first thing to check. A hardened or flattened flange o-ring lets air into the suction side, and the pump loses prime as a result. Lubricate the new one with a pool rated o-ring lube on fitting.
