Product details

The Pentair 354629 is the stainless steel band assembly for the Challenger and WaterFall pumps, supplied without the knob. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What the band does

The band clamps the strainer pot to the pump housing and holds that joint closed against pump pressure. It is doing real work every time the pump runs, and it lives outdoors in wet, chemical laden air. Over years it corrodes, stretches or the threads seize.

Before you order

This is the band assembly only. The knob is not included, so if yours is cracked or the threads are gone you will want that separately. If the pump has been leaking at the seam, replace the lid gasket at the same time; a good band and a tired gasket still leak.
