The Pentair 355315Z is the impeller for the Challenger high pressure pump in the 1-1/2 HP full rated and 2 HP up rated sizes. It is the genuine Pentair part, also listed as 35-5315.

Match the pump first

Challenger impellers are horsepower specific and are also split between the high pressure and high flow builds. Read the motor label and the model on the pump before ordering, because an impeller from the wrong rating will bolt on and then perform nothing like the pump was designed to.

What a worn impeller looks like

Weak return jets, a filter pressure gauge sitting lower than usual and a pump that sounds normal while moving very little water. Pull the impeller and look at the vanes: erosion, cracks or debris packed into the eye all cost flow.

While you are in there

The mechanical seal is directly behind the impeller, so replacing it during the same teardown saves opening the pump twice. The impeller locking screw is a separate part and is worth renewing rather than reusing.
