Product details

The Pentair 356012Z is the seal plate for Pinnacle high flow in-ground pumps and SuperFlo pool pumps, finished in almond. It is the genuine Pentair part, and it is also listed for the Sta-Rite SuperMax pump.

What the seal plate does

The seal plate is the disc between the motor and the wet end of the pump. The motor bolts to one side, the impeller sits on the other, and the shaft seal rides in the middle. If the plate cracks, warps or corrodes at the seal bore, water finds its way back along the shaft toward the motor, so a failed plate is worth replacing rather than patching.

Before you order

On SuperFlo VS pumps this plate is for units manufactured before 6/17/19, so read the build date on the motor label first. While the pump is open, the seal bracket o-ring and the shaft seal are separate parts that are normally replaced at the same time.
