Match SuperFlo parts to horsepower on a single speed and to the build date on a variable speed. A single speed's impeller steps up with its rating, from 355043 at 1/2 and 3/4 HP to 355093 at 2-1/2 HP, and those five part numbers are the Challenger High Flow's as well. A SuperFlo VS or VST built after June 17, 2019 takes a different impeller, diffuser, shaft seal and seal plate, and Pentair changed its motor again for pumps built from November 2020.

The horsepower is on the pump's label. SuperFlo sizes are up rated, so a part titled 1 HP full rated, 1-1/2 HP up rated belongs to the 1-1/2 HP.

About Pentair SuperFlo Pump Parts

Parts for the Pentair SuperFlo single speed and the SuperFlo VS and VST: impellers and diffusers by horsepower and by build date, shaft seals and seal kits, seal plates, drives, motors and automation wiring for the variable speed models, and the strainer pot, lid, locking ring, basket, base and union parts.

Many of these also fit the Sta-Rite SuperMax, whose parts are on Sta-Rite Max-E-Pro pump parts, and five of the impellers are shared with the High Flow pumps on Challenger pump parts. The WhisperFlo and IntelliFlo have pages of their own. Every brand is on pump parts and motors, motors are on pool pump motors, and whole pumps are on Pentair pool pumps.

Questions about Pentair SuperFlo Pump Parts

Which impeller and diffuser fit my Pentair SuperFlo single speed?

Pentair's SuperFlo table goes by horsepower: 1/2 and 3/4 HP take impeller 355043, 1 HP takes 355067, 1-1/2 HP 355074, 2 HP 355086 and 2-1/2 HP 355093. Diffuser 355617 covers 1/2 to 1 HP, 355618 covers 1-1/2 and 2 HP, and 350170 is for 2-1/2 HP. Pentair's 2023 SuperFlo manual lists a different pair, impeller 356356Z and diffuser 356358Z, so check the parts list in the manual that came with your pump before you order.

Which parts fit a Pentair SuperFlo VS built after June 2019?

Pentair split the VS and VST parts list at June 17, 2019. Pumps built after it take impeller C105-238PDCA, diffuser 355949, diffuser seal 355331, shaft seal 17351-0101S and seal plate 356071. Pumps built before it take impeller 355074, diffuser 355618, diffuser seal 355030, shaft seal 354545S and seal plate 356012. The strainer pot, lid, locking ring, basket, base and union parts are the same either side of that date.

My Pentair SuperFlo VS motor or drive failed. Which replacement fits?

Go by the build date. For SuperFlo VS and VST pumps built before November 2020 Pentair lists motor 353134S and drive kit 353127, with digital input wiring kit 353129Z for automation. Pumps built after October 2020 take motor 356284 or the TEFC 356286S, and drive kit 353127 or the RS-485 kit 356282, connected to automation by kit 356324Z. The WhisperFlo VS and VST use the same TEFC motor and RS-485 drive kit.

Water is dripping between the pump and the motor on my Pentair SuperFlo. What do I replace?

Most likely the shaft seal. Its white ceramic half sits in the seal plate and its spring half rides on the motor shaft, and Pentair warns that running a SuperFlo dry ruins it and starts a leak. The single speed takes seal set 354545S, or 356210S for ozone and salt water, and the SuperFlo and SuperMax seal kit 356197 is sold as chemical, salt and ozone resistant. A SuperFlo VS or VST built after June 17, 2019 takes 17351-0101S instead.

Why do Pentair SuperFlo impellers list two horsepower ratings?

Because the same five impellers go in the Challenger High Flow, whose sizes Pentair writes as a full rated and an up rated pair. From 3/4 HP up, a SuperFlo's horsepower matches the up rated half. The 1 HP SuperFlo takes 355067, which Pentair lists for a 3/4 HP full rated, 1 HP up rated Challenger, and the 1-1/2 HP SuperFlo takes 355074, listed for 1 HP full rated, 1-1/2 HP up rated. The 2 and 2-1/2 HP follow the same pattern.
