Product details

The Pentair 355026S is a 2 HP, single speed, single phase square flange motor in almond, the factory replacement for Pentair pool and spa pumps that use a square flange seal plate, including the Challenger. It runs on 208 to 230V at 60 Hz and is a standard efficiency motor.

Installation

A square flange motor bolts through the seal plate with four bolts. Match the horsepower and flange style of the motor coming off, and fit a new mechanical shaft seal during the swap. A used seal will not reseat cleanly on a new shaft.

California

This motor does not meet the California Energy Commission Title 20 standards for pool pumps and replacement motors, so it cannot be shipped to, sold in or installed in California. For that state a CEC compliant variable speed motor such as the Century V-Green Evo ECM27SQU is the correct choice.

Can this ship to California?
No. The 355026S does not meet the California Energy Commission Title 20 standards for pool pump motors and cannot be sold or installed in California. A variable speed CEC compliant motor such as the Century V-Green Evo ECM27SQU is the alternative there.
What voltage does it run on?
208 to 230V, single phase, 60 Hz. It is not a dual voltage 115V motor.
What pumps take a square flange motor?
Square flange motors bolt to seal plates like the one on the Pentair Challenger. Match the flange style and horsepower of the motor you are removing.
Do I need a new shaft seal?
Yes. Replace the mechanical shaft seal whenever the motor is changed. The old seal will not reseat reliably on a new shaft.
