Pentair Lid O-Ring for IntelliFlo3 Pool Pump

The Pentair 356189Z is the lid o-ring for the IntelliFlo3 pool pump. It seals the strainer lid to the pump so the pump pulls water rather than air.

When to replace it

A worn lid o-ring is the usual cause of air in the strainer basket and a pump that is slow to prime or loses prime. If the lid will not seal even when tightened, or the ring looks flattened, cracked or swollen, replace it.

Fitting

No tools are needed. Remove the lid, take out the old ring, wipe the groove clean, lightly lubricate the new ring with a silicone o-ring lubricant, seat it and refit the lid.
