Which pumps

Pentair's parts sheets show this clamp on WhisperFlo pumps built after 12-17-99, the IntelliFlo VS, IntelliFlo VS+SVRS, IntelliFlo VF, IntelliFlo VSF and IntelliFlo2 VST, and the IntelliFlo i1 and i2 built after April 2016. Older WhisperFlo pumps take different parts: those built from November 1998 through December 17, 1999 used the black Cam and Ramp clamp, 357150, and pumps built before November 1998 used a stainless clamp band assembly, 070711.

When to replace it

The clamp is what holds the lid tight on the strainer pot each time the basket is emptied and the lid goes back on. If it is cracked, broken or no longer locks firmly, replace it before running the pump, because an unsecured lid can leak air or come off the pot.
