Product details

The Pentair 410028Z is the union kit for the 3 HP IntelliFlo3 pool pump, supplied in the 2 in. and 2.5 in. sizes. It is the genuine Pentair part, also listed as 410028.

What unions do

The unions are the threaded couplings at the pump suction and discharge. They are what let a pump be unbolted and lifted out without sawing through the plumbing, and they carry the o-ring seal that keeps the connection tight. When a union nut cracks or the collar splits, the pad starts to drip and the pump can pull air on the suction side.

Before you order

Check the pipe size at the pump. This kit is the 2 in. and 2.5 in. version. Pentair sells a separate 3 in. union kit for the same 3 HP IntelliFlo3 if your system is plumbed larger.
