The Pentair 410020 is the union kit supplied without a tap. It is sold as the Whisperflo XF union kit, and Pentair also publishes it as compatible with the IntelliFloXF and IntelliProXF variable speed pumps.

What a union does

The unions are the joints where the suction and discharge pipe meet the pump. They are what allow the pump to be taken off for service without cutting the plumbing, and they are also a common source of trouble: threads crack, seals harden, and a union that will not draw up tight either drips or draws air.

Check before you order

This version has no tap, so there is no threaded port in it. The union nut and the union adapter are also sold on their own if only one piece has failed. Fitment is published two ways, for the Whisperflo XF and for the XF variable speed pumps, so compare the kit against the union on your own pump.
