⌄The Pentair 410029 is the 3 in. union kit for the 3 HP IntelliFlo3 variable speed pool pump. It provides the union connections that join 3 in. plumbing to the pump inlet and outlet.
Why unions matter
A union is a threaded coupling between the pump and the pipe. When the pump needs to come off the pad for a seal, an impeller or a full replacement, you unscrew the unions and lift it out instead of cutting and regluing PVC. Installing the correct kit at the start saves that work later.

This kit is for 3 in. pipe on the 3 HP IntelliFlo3. Pentair sells a separate 2 in. and 2.5 in. union kit for the same pump, so check the pipe size at your equipment pad before choosing.
