The Pentair 410029 is the 3 in. union kit for the 3 HP IntelliFlo3 variable speed pool pump. It provides the union connections that join 3 in. plumbing to the pump inlet and outlet.

Why unions matter

A union is a threaded coupling between the pump and the pipe. When the pump needs to come off the pad for a seal, an impeller or a full replacement, you unscrew the unions and lift it out instead of cutting and regluing PVC. Installing the correct kit at the start saves that work later.
