Product details

The Pentair 355024S is a 1.5 HP single speed replacement motor for pool and spa pumps, built on the square flange mount. It runs on single phase power at 115 volts or 208 to 230 volts, 60 Hz, and is finished in almond.

Matching a motor to a pump

Three things have to line up when you replace a pump motor: the mount, the horsepower and the electrical supply. This one is square flange, rated 1.5 HP, and single phase. Take the mount from the old motor rather than the pump model, since the same pump body was often sold with more than one motor option over the years.

While the pump is apart

Swapping a motor means separating it from the wet end, which exposes the shaft seal and the housing gasket. Those parts are consumable and rarely worth reusing once disturbed, so plan on a seal and gasket kit at the same time. Electrical connection should follow the wiring diagram on the motor for the voltage you are supplying.

Square flange. Confirm the wet end on your pump takes a square flange motor before ordering.
Can it run on 115 volts?

Does a shaft seal come with the motor?
No. The motor is supplied on its own. A seal and gasket kit for the pump is a separate item, and it is worth fitting new seals any time the wet end comes apart.
