Century 56Y Frame ODP Square Flange Pool & Spa Pump Motor 2HP 230V

The Century B2855 is a 2 HP, 230 V single speed replacement motor on the 56Y square flange, the fit for Pentair Challenger, WhisperFlo, SuperFlo and Pinnacle pumps and for the Jandy Stealth SHPF and SHPM series. It is an open drip proof motor rated for continuous duty at a 50 C ambient.

Nameplate

Single phase, 60 Hz, 3450 rpm, service factor 1.1 with 10.0 A at service factor, 1.5 kW output, insulation class B, thermally protected. The design is permanent split capacitor and switchless, so there is no centrifugal start switch to stick or burn. Bearings are sealed ball at both ends, the shaft is stainless steel with a 1/2 in. thread, and rotation is counterclockwise from the pump end.

Dimensions

13.46 in. overall length with a 9.00 in. frame, 0.625 in. shaft diameter and 0.91 in. shaft extension. Mounting is horizontal.

This motor is not California Title 20 compliant and cannot ship to a California address. For a California install, Century offers V-Green EVO variable speed models EVC130, EVC165, EVC225, EVQ130, EVQ165 and EVQ225 that meet the CEC standard.

Plan on a new shaft seal with any motor swap. Seal kits for the Challenger, WhisperFlo, SuperFlo, Pinnacle and Jandy SHPF and SHPM pumps are sold separately.
