Product details

The Century B122 is a Centurion full rated pool and spa pump motor rated 1 HP at 3450 RPM. It is a CX-Type motor on a 56C C-face frame with no base, wired for 115 or 230 volts, and it turns counterclockwise viewed from the pump end.

Full rated, and what the numbers mean

Full rated means the motor makes its nameplate horsepower on its own, so the 1.0 HP rating is real output rather than a number that leans on the service factor. With a 1.40 service factor the total horsepower comes out at 1.4 THP. Current draw is 7.2 amps at 230 V or 14.4 amps at 115 V at service factor, single phase, 60 Hz.

Keyed shaft

The shaft is 5/8 inch in diameter with a keyway and a 2-1/16 inch extension, so this motor belongs on pumps built for a keyed drive rather than a threaded one. Overall length is 11.89 inches. Measure the shaft on the motor you are replacing before you order, because keyed and threaded shafts are not interchangeable.
