Product details

The Century Centurion Pro HST110 is a C-face pool and spa pump motor rated 1.1 total horsepower, running at 3450 RPM on 115 or 230 volts. It is built on the 56J frame with a threaded shaft.

What C-face and 56J mean for fitment

Pool motors are matched to pumps by frame, face and shaft, not by horsepower alone. A 56J C-face motor with a threaded shaft bolts to a pump built for that combination and takes an impeller that screws directly onto the shaft. Before ordering, read the nameplate on the motor you are replacing and confirm all three of those match, because a motor with the right horsepower and the wrong shaft simply will not go together.

Wiring

The motor is rated for both 115 and 230 volt supplies. Which one you use depends on the circuit already run to the equipment pad, and the motor has to be wired for that voltage before it is started.

What frame is this motor?
56J, with a threaded shaft, in the C-face format.
Is it single speed or variable speed?
Single speed. It runs at 3450 RPM.
Can I run it on 115 volts?
It is rated 115/230 V, so it can be wired for either. Check the voltage plate and the wiring instructions on the motor before you connect it.
How do I know this is the right motor for my pump?
Match the frame, the shaft and the horsepower to what is on the old motor nameplate. A 56J threaded shaft C-face motor will not fit a pump built for a square flange or a keyed shaft.
