The U.S. Motors ASB848 is a square flange replacement motor for pool and spa pumps, built on the 56Y frame with standard efficiency construction and dual voltage 115/230V wiring. It is listed against R0479311, EB848, EB854, B2848 and B2854.

Square flange 56Y

The square flange 56Y is one of the most widely used pool motor formats, which is why a single motor crosses to so many part numbers. The flange bolts directly to the pump housing through four holes in a square plate. If your existing motor threads into a seal plate instead, it is a C-face motor and this is not the right replacement.

Field friendly wiring

U.S. Motors builds these with angled terminal boards for easier access inside a cramped equipment pad, and voltage selection is done with a switch rather than by rewiring, so the same motor covers both 115V and 230V supplies without field adjustment of the internal switch.
