The Century USQ1072 is a square flange replacement pool pump motor rated 3/4 horsepower up-rate, wired for either 115 or 230 volts.

Matching the motor to the pump

Three things have to line up: the flange, the horsepower rating and the voltage. This is the square flange version, so it will not bolt to a pump built for a round flange. The 3/4 HP up-rate label is what to compare against the plate on your existing motor, since an up-rate and a full rate motor of the same nominal horsepower are not the same machine.

Can I buy this in California?

No. This motor is not California Title 20 compliant. The EVQ130 is the specified alternative for California installations.

What does up-rate mean?

Up-rate motors are labeled at a higher horsepower than their full rate equivalent for the same real output. The label on your existing motor tells you which one your pump was built around, so match it rather than guessing.

Which flange do I need?

This is the square flange version. If your pump takes a round flange motor, this will not bolt up, so check the mounting face before ordering.

What voltage does it run on?
