Product details

The Century ST1152 is a full rated, energy efficient 1.5 HP pool pump motor for 115 or 230 volt supplies. It uses the 56J frame with a round flange and turns at 3450 rpm, the standard threaded shaft pattern for pool pumps.

Nameplate and build

Output is 1.5 HP, 1.1 kW, on 208 to 230 or 115 volts, drawing 10.4 to 9.8 amps at the higher voltage or 19.6 amps at 115. It is a capacitor start capacitor run motor with across the line starting, sealed ball bearings at both ends, a sealed switch design and a 303 stainless shaft threaded 7/16 in. The enclosure is open drip proof with automatic thermal protection, rated for a 50 C ambient, class B insulation, UL 1081 design. Overall length is 15.19 in. with a 9.25 in. frame.

Century lists it for the Hayward Super II Energy Efficient, the Hayward NorthStar Full Rate and the Jacuzzi Magnum Full Rate. Full rated means the stated horsepower is the real output, not a figure reached by counting the service factor.

This motor is not California Title 20 compliant and is not sold in California. For that market Century builds six variable speed models that conform to the CEC standards: the V-Green EVO EVC130, EVC165, EVC225, EVQ130, EVQ165 and EVQ225.
