Full rated versus up rated

Full rated is the honest number. A full rated 2 HP motor produces 2 HP before the service factor is counted, while an up rated motor of the same nameplate figure gets there only once the service factor is applied. If your pump was specified with a full rated motor, matching it keeps the flow the system was designed around.

California restriction

This motor is not California Title 20 compliant. It cannot be sold or installed in the state of California. If the pool is in California, this is not the motor to order.

Can I buy this if I live in California?
No. This motor is not California Title 20 compliant and cannot be sold or installed in the state of California.
What does full rated mean?
The horsepower on the label is the rated output on its own. An up rated motor reaches a similar number only after the service factor is applied, so a full rated 2 HP is the stronger of the two.
What voltage does it run on?
230V.
