The Century SQS1152R is a full rated, two compartment pool pump motor built on the 48Y square flange C-face frame. It is rated 1.5/0.19 HP with a 2.21 total horsepower and a 1.47 service factor, and it runs on 230 volts single phase at 60 Hz.
Two speeds, one motor
High speed is 3450 RPM and low speed is 1725 RPM. The motor uses a capacitor start on low speed and runs as a PSC motor on high. In practice that means the pool can filter at the slow speed for the bulk of the day, drawing 3.0 amps instead of 10.0, and step up to full speed when something needs the flow.
Build
An open dripproof enclosure, ball bearings, automatic thermal protection and continuous duty rating. The shaft is 303 stainless steel, threaded, 5/8 inch in diameter, and the motor measures 13.67 inches overall in a satin black finish.
Before you order
Match the frame, the flange and the voltage to what is on your pump now. A 48Y square flange C-face motor at 230 volts is a common combination, but it is not the only one, so read the plate on the old motor before ordering.
